C-Tech is a Cyclic Activated Sludge process. It provides highest treatment efficiency possible in a single – step biological process. The C-Tech System is operated in a batch reactor mode this eliminates all the inefficiencies of the continuous process. A batch reactor is a perfect reactor, which ensures 100% treatment. Six modules shall be provided to ensure continuous treatment. The complete process takes place in a single reactor, within which all biological treatment steps take place sequentially.
No additional Settling Unit, Secondary Clarifier is required. The complete biological treatment is divided into Cycles with each Cycle is of 2-4 hrs duration, during which all treatment steps take place.
C-Tech offers a simple and most reliable method of activated sludge wastewater treatment that produces a tertiary quality effluent at the price of secondary treatment including nutrient removal. Simplifying factors which select C-Tech against other and conventional sequencing batch reactors are:

C-Tech produces treated effluent of recyclable quality with average values of BOD < 10 mg/l, COD < 100 mg/l, TSS < 10 mg/l. Along with main pollutants, it also removes nutrients to such a low level which makes the treated sewage suitable for direct use in industries and other non-potable applications.

C-Tech process is an advanced process in many ways compared to continuous, conventional or generic SBRs.
1.1 Biological Selector Zone:
The incorporation of a multi-cell biological Selector in the front – end of the System distinguishes it from all other technologies. The raw sewage / effluent enters the Selector Zone, where anoxic-mix conditions are maintained. Also, a part of the treated effluent along with activated sludge from the Aeration Zone is recycled here using Return Activated Sludge (RAS) Pump.
